|Minced onion||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Shredded sharp cheddar cheese||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Monosodium glutamate||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
Break up sausage in large bowl; add all remaining ingredients.
Stir, mixing well until blended thoroughly.
Place in buttered foil-lined ring mold.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
Drain off excess fat.
Invert sausage ring onto round preheated platter.
Strip off foil.
Fill center of ring with mashed potatoes if desired.
