Cut squash into halves; remove seeds.
Arrange squash, cut side down, in shallow greased baking pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
Shape sausage into 6 flat patties; brown lightly in skillet.
Turn squash; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Place sausage patty in each half.
Bake for 20 minutes longer or until squash is tender and sausage is cooked through.
