Cheese and Sausage Strata
|Bulk pork sausage||1⁄2 Pound|
|Mushroom slices||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Green onion slices||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Pasteurized processed cheese spread||1⁄2 Pound, cubed|
|Sourdough bread cubes||4 Cup (64 tbs) (Fresh Ones)|
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Eggs||4 , beaten|
Brown sausage; drain.
Add vegetables, continue cooking 5 minutes.
Cool 10 minutes.
Mix together sausage mixture, process cheese spread and bread cubes.
Spoon into greased 8-inch square baking dish.
Beat milk and eggs; pour over sausage mixture.
Cover; refrigerate several hours or overnight.
Bake at 350°, uncovered, 50 to 55 minutes or until golden brown.
Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
