Broiled Stuffed Frankfurters
|Minced onion||2 Tablespoon|
|Soft bread crumbs||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
1. Start the broiler, turn the heat to Moderate, 350° F.
2. Saute the onion in the butter or margarine
3 minutes; mix with the bread crumbs, salt and pepper.
3. Split the frankfurters lengthwise, but do not cut clear through at 1 end. Place some of the stuffing between each pair of halves and wrap a strip of bacon around each stuffed frankfurter, securing it at both ends with toothpicks.
4. Place the bacon-wrapped frankfurters on a broiler rack and broil 8 to 15 minutes. Turn them until the bacon is well browned.
