Bean And Sausage Soup

Ingredients
  Dried white navy beans 1 Pound
  Chorizo sausage/Other garlic sausage 1 Pound
  Serrano ham/Other smoked ham 1 Pound, diced
  Ham bone 1
  Potatoes 1 Pound, diced
  Diced carrots 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sliced leeks 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Chopped cabbage 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), pressed
  Bay leaf 1 , tied with peppercorns in cheesecloth
  Peppercorns 2
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Beef stock 1 1⁄2 Quart
Directions

Cover beans with water; soak overnight.
Drain.
Combine beans with remaining ingredients in large pot; bring to boil.
Reduce heat; simmer 4 to 6 hours or until beans and vegetables are tender.
Remove sausage; skin and dice.
Return to soup.
Chill overnight.
Reheat soup to serve
