Sausage Stuffing

Ingredients
  Bulk sausage meat 1 Pound
  Butter 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Onion 1 Large, chopped
  Chopped celery and leaves 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Apple 1 Large, chopped
  Soft bread crumbs 12 Cup (192 tbs) (Use Day Old Bread)
  Salt 1 Tablespoon
  Pepper 1 Teaspoon
  Sage 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Thyme 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Poultry seasoning 1 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Raisins 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Chopped pecans 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
Directions

Brown sausage meat in skillet.
Add butter, onion, celery and apple and cook gently until onion is yellow, stirring constantly.
Add half of bread crumbs and cook and stir until crumbs are golden.
Combine remaining crumbs, seasonings, raisins and nuts in large bowl.
Add sausage meat mixture and blend well.
Cool.
Use to stuff a 12-lb.turkey.
