Sausage N Apple Baked Squash
|Chopped apple||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chopped onion||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Dry bread crumbs||2 Tablespoon|
|Ground sage||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Bulk pork sausage||1⁄2 Pound|
|Acorn squash||2 Small, halved and seeded|
In a medium bowl, combine apple, onion, bread crumbs, sage and pepper.
Add sausage; mix well.
Spoon into squash halves; place in a greased 13-in.x 9-in.x 2-in.baking dish.
Cover and bake at 375° for 45 minutes.
Uncover and bake 10 minutes more or until sausage is no longer pink and squash is tender.
