Country Rice & Beans With Chicken & Sausage
|Boneless, skinless, chicken breasts||8 Ounce, cut into strips|
|Smoked sausage||8 Ounce, sliced|
|Coarsely chopped onion||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Water||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Red beans and rice||8 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Sliced green pepper||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Sliced celery||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
In large saucepan, saute chicken, sausage and onion in butter 5 to 7 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink.
Add water, beans & rice, contents of seasoning packet, green pepper and celery.
Bring to a boil; cover.
Reduce heat and simmer 20 to 25 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
