Round Steak Sauerbraten With Wine Vinegar

  Boneless beef round steak 1 1⁄2 Pound, cut 1/2 inch thick
  Cooking oil 1 Tablespoon
  Brown gravy mix 1 1⁄5 Ounce (1 Envelope)
  Dried minced onion 1 Tablespoon
  Brown sugar 2 Tablespoon
  White wine vinegar/Cider vinegar 2 Tablespoon
  Worcestershire sauce 1 Teaspoon
  Ground ginger 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Bay leaf 1
  Hot cooked noodles 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)

1 Cut meat into 1-inch pieces. In a large skillet brown meat, half at a time, in hot oil. Remove meat from skillet. Stir gravy mix into skillet; carefully stir in 1/2 cup water. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
2 Stir in onion, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, ginger, bay leaf, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Return meat to skillet. Simmer, covered, for 1 1/4 hours or until meat is tender, stirring occasionally. Discard bay leaf. Serve over hot cooked noodles.
