Ingredients for meatball sauce may vary in different cuisines. However, basic ingredients are tomato paste, tomato ketchup, any barbeque sauce, grated onion, sugar, salt and black pepper. All the sauce ingredients should be cooked on low flame until the mix thickens. Add the meatballs and simmer on low-heat for at least 1 hour so that meatballs absorb the flavor of the sauce.
