Cider Sauce

Cider sauce is a classic French recipe of an aromatic sweet and sour sauce made using the beverage cider. The sauce is cooked with various ingredients and then served as an accompaniment to grilled pork, desserts, meat cutlets, etc. A typical cider sauce is made by melting butter in a pan, sautéing onions and then pouring the cider in it. The sauce is not seasoned as the flavors are got from the butter and cider. Hard Cider is preferred for making cider sauce compared to other varieties available.
