Mom'S Pears In Chocolate Sauce
|Water||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||2 Tablespoon|
|Semisweet chocolate||1⁄4 Pound|
|Vanilla ice cream||1|
Peel the pears and remove the stalks.
Stand the pears in a casserole dish.
In a jug, mix together the water, lemon juice and sugar and heat on HIGH for 2 minutes.
Pour over the pears.
Put the vanilla pod in the base of the dish and cover the dish with saran wrap (cling film).
Pierce and cook on MEDIUM for 10 minutes.
Leave to cool.
Break the chocolate into pieces.
Put in a jug and add 1/4 cup (4 tablespoons) of liquid from the pears.
Heat on HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring every minute.
Beat in the butter until the sauce is smooth.
Drain the pears and arrange on a flat dish or plate.
Pour over the sauce.
