Rich Chocolate Sauce
|Sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Water||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Vanilla pod/Vanilla essence||1 (Or To Taste)|
Chop chocolate in small pieces, put into a clean large saucepan with the sugar, cocoa and half the water. Stir over moderate heat until boiling and the chocolate has dissolved. Simmer 2-3 minutes, then add the rest of the water and vanilla pod. Reboil and continue to simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the sauce is syrupy and rich- looking. Serve cold.
