Almond Butterscotch Sauce
|Firmly packed brown sugar||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Whipping cream||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Firm butter/Margarine||3 Tablespoon, cut into pieces|
|Roasted slivered almonds||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
In a 4 cup glass measure, stir together sugar, cream, butter, and salt.
Microwave, uncovered, on HIGH (100%) for 2 1/2 to 3 minutes (stirring every minute) or until mixture boils.
Stir in almonds and vanilla.
Let stand, covered with wax paper, for 10 to 15 minutes to thicken.
