Raspberry Or Strawberry Sauce
|Frozen sweetened raspberries/Frozen sweetened strawberries||10 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Light corn syrup||1 Tablespoon|
If berries are in a cardboard container with metal ends, remove one end from package and place container upright on a paper towel on floor of microwave. (If packed in plastic pouch, place it on a paper lined plate.)
Microwave, uncovered, on HIGH (100%) for 2 minutes or until almost thawed.
Empty berries into a 2 cup glass measure; break up chunks with a spoon.
Stir in corn syrup and cornstarch; blend well.
Microwave, uncovered, on HIGH (100%) for 3 to 5 minutes (stirring every 2 minutes) or until mixture begins to boil.
Cool, cover, and refrigerate.
Sauce thickens on cooling.
