Chicken In Cherry Sauce
|Canned cherry pie filling||22 Ounce (1 Can, 1 Pound 6 Ounce)|
|Orange juice||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Slivered almonds||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Finely chopped celery||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Ground allspice||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Whole chicken breasts||3 , split, boned and skinned|
Mix together all ingredients except chicken.
Spread half of pie filling mixture in bottom of 12x8x2 inch glass baking dish.
Arrange chicken breasts over top.
Coat chicken breasts with remaining pie filling mixture.
Cover with plastic wrap.
Microwave 10 to 13 minutes, giving dish a 1/4 turn during cooking.
Let stand 3 minutes.
If desired, pour 1 oz.brandy over chicken and ignite.
