Tomato And Cheese Sauce
|Onion||1 , minced|
|Green pepper||1⁄2 , minced|
|Butter/Olive oil||3 Tablespoon|
|Canned tomato puree||1 1⁄3 Cup (21.33 tbs)|
|Grated sharp cheese||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Saute the onion and green pepper in butter or oil for 3 minutes.
Add the salt, pepper and puree and simmer again for 10 minutes.
Add fennel and cheese and stir until the cheese is melted.
Take off the heat immediately.
This is an excellent sauce for serving with fish or when mixed with sour cream poured over a large fish and baked.
