Plum Sauce With Pimiento
|Plums||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Apricots||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Apple sauce||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Vinegar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chopped pimiento||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Remove the skins and stones from the plums and apricots.
Mix all the ingredients together and bring to a boil.
Lower the heat and simmer for about 1 hour.
Pour into airtight jars while liquid is still hot and keep in a cool, dark place for 1 month.
To serve, add a little water and sugar to taste.
