Fresh Tomato Sauce
|Chopped tomatoes||4 Cup (64 tbs), peeled and seeded|
|Onion||1 Medium, minced|
|Basil leaf||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Canned tomato paste||6 Ounce (One Can)|
|Garlic||3 Clove (15 gm), crushed|
Combine all ingredients in lightly oiled crock pot.
Cover and cook on low setting for 6 to 12 hours (on high setting for 4 hours).
If a thicker sauce is desired, remove cover and cook on high setting until sauce is reduced.
This is good used in any recipe calling for tomato sauce.
