Picante Sauce

Ingredients
  Ripe tomatoes 6 Quart, chopped
  Green bell peppers 5 , chopped
  Jalapeno chiles 10 , chopped
  Onions 6 Large, chopped
  Minced garlic 10 Teaspoon
  Vinegar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Salt 6 Tablespoon
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Combine all the ingredients in a large kettle over medium heat.
Simmer for 2 to 2 1/2 hours until thickened, stirring occasionally.
Ladle into hot sterilized jars, leaving 1/2 inch headspace; seal with 2 piece lids.
Process in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
