Pears Baked In Molasses-Port Sauce
|Bosc pears||6 , peeled, cored and sliced|
|Molasses||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Port wine/Other sweet red wine||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Butter/Margarine||1 Tablespoon, melted|
Preheat oven to 350Â°.
Arrange pear slices in a 13x9 inch baking dish.
Combine molasses, wine, and melted butter; drizzle over pears.
Bake at 350Â° for 30 minutes or until tender, basting with molasses mixture every 10 minutes.
Remove pear slices from dish; set aside, and keep warm.
Pour molasses mixture into a small saucepan, and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, and simmer 30 minutes or until thick and syrupy, stirring occasionally.
Divide pear slices evenly among 6 dessert dishes; drizzle syrup evenly over pears.
