Mocha Butterscotch Sauce
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Instant coffee||2 Tablespoon|
|Water||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Cold water||3 Tablespoon|
|Broken california walnuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
In heavy skillet, melt sugar slowly over low heat, stirring constantly, till medium brown and smooth.
Combine coffee with 1 1/2 cups water; slowly add to sugar, stirring to blend.
Combine cornstarch and 3 tablespoons water; stir into syrup mixture.
Cook, stirring constantly, till thick.
Add butter, salt, and nuts.
