Mocha Butterscotch Sauce

Mocha butterscotch sauce is a rich and heavy dessert sauce with strong notes of coffee blended with butter. The mocha buttersauce is a cooked sauce, prepared with cornstarch, sugar and water along with walnuts. The walnuts give the mocha butterscotch sauce a delightful crunch and a nutty taste. it goes best with coffee cakes and even chocolate coffee cakes.
Ingredients
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Instant coffee 2 Tablespoon
  Water 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Cornstarch 2 Tablespoon
  Cold water 3 Tablespoon
  Butter/Margarine 2 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Broken california walnuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

In heavy skillet, melt sugar slowly over low heat, stirring constantly, till medium brown and smooth.
Combine coffee with 1 1/2 cups water; slowly add to sugar, stirring to blend.
Combine cornstarch and 3 tablespoons water; stir into syrup mixture.
Cook, stirring constantly, till thick.
Add butter, salt, and nuts.
