Simple Butterscotch Sauce

Ingredients
  Egg yolk 1 , slightly beaten
  Butter 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (or margarine)
  Water 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Brown sugar 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Light corn syrup 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
Directions

Combine all ingredients and mix well; cook in double boiler until thick, stirring frequently.
Stir before using.
