Vegetables With Sweet And Sour Sauce
|Red pepper||1 Small|
|Green pepper||1 Small|
|Soy sauce||1 Tablespoon|
|Brown sugar||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Chicken stock||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Vinegar||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
Cut the peppers into wedges, the onion into eighths and the carrot into wedges.
Slice the celery diagonally.
Drop the vegetables into boiling water and simmer for 5 minutes.
Mix the cornflour (cornstarch) with the soy sauce.
Put the sugar, stock and vinegar in a saucepan, bring to the boil and add cornflour (cornstarch) and soy sauce.
Simmer, stirring, for 2-3 minutes.
Add the vegetables and salt to taste and reheat.
Serve in a heated bowl.
