Spicy Vanilla Sauce

Ingredients
  Sugar 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Cornstarch 1 Tablespoon, dash salt (Dash salt)
  Nutmeg 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Butter 2 Tablespoon
  Vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Mix first 4 ingredients in small saucepan.
Gradually add milk, stirring to blend, and cook over low heat until thick.
Add butter or margarine and vanilla.
Makes 1 1/3 cups.
Chill, and serve over sliced bananas, or serve hot over Apple Brown Betty.
