1. In a large saucepan combine ketchup, vegetable oil, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, brown sugar, dry mustard powder, grated ginger root, garlic, butter, lemon slices, salt, pepper and cayenne pepper.
2. Stir everything and bring it to a boil.
3. Once it comes to a boil reduce the heat to low and then simmer for 20 minutes.
4. Serve the barbeque sauce with ribs or chicken.
