Steak Sauce

Ingredients
  Chopped onion 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Steak drippings/Butter / margarine 2 Tablespoon
  Boiling water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Worcestershire sauce 1 Teaspoon
  Dry mustard 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Egg 1
Directions

Saute onion in drippings 5 minutes.
Add remaining ingredients, except egg.
Cover pan, and simmer 10 minutes.
Just before serving steak, strain sauce, and pour slowly over beaten egg, beating constantly.
Cook sauce, stirring 1 minute over low heat.
Note: Prepare this sauce while steak is being broiled.
