Strawberry Sauce With Dumplings

Ingredients
  Frozen strawberries 32 Ounce
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sugar 2 Tablespoon
  Butter/Margarine 2 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  All purpose flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Baking powder 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Milk 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Vanilla ice cream 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 Dash
Directions

Combine first 5 ingredients in a saucepan; bring to a boil.
Combine flour, baking powder, dash of salt, and 1/4 cup sugar; cut in 2 tablespoons butter until mixture resembles coarse meal.
Stir in milk and vanilla; mix well.
Drop mixture by teaspoonfuls into boiling strawberry mixture; cook, uncovered, 5 minutes.
Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 15 minutes.
Serve over ice cream, if desired.
