Meatballs In Buttermilk Sauce
|Ground beef||1 1⁄2 Pound|
|Chopped green pepper||3 Tablespoon|
|Sliced celery||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Cooked rice||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Cream of mushroom soup||1 Can (10 oz)|
|Buttermilk||1 Can (10 oz)|
|Mushroom stems and pieces||1 Can (10 oz)|
Combine ground beef, onion, green pepper, celery, rice, salt and pepper with egg; mix lightly.
Shape mixture into 12 balls; saute in skillet in small amount of hot fat until well browned.
Place meat- balls in greased 2-quart baking dish.
Combine soup, buttermilk and mushrooms in skillet; simmer, stir- ring constantly, until smooth and blended.
Pour sauce over meatballs.
Bake, covered, at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
