Microwave Cauliflower And Peas In Cream Sauce

Ingredients
  Cauliflower 1 Medium
  Frozen peas 10 Ounce, Defrosted (1 packet)
  Onion 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), chopped
  Butter/Margarine 1 Tablespoon
  All purpose flour 1 Tablespoon
  Half and half 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Water 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Pimiento 1 Tablespoon, chopped
  Parsley flakes 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Instant chicken bouillon granules 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1 Dash
Directions

MAKING
1) Into a 1 to 1 1/2-quart casserole, add in the cauliflower florets, peas and 1/4 cup water.
2) Microwave on HIGH for 6 to 8 minutes till the florets turn fork-tender. Stir halfway through the cooking time.
3) Let the florets rest covered for a few minutes.
4) Into a 2-cup measurer, add in the onion and butter. Microwave for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes on HIGH till the onions become tender.
5) Mix in the flour. Stir well before adding on the half and half, pimiento, parsley, bouillon granules, salt and pepper Microwave again for about 2 minutes till the mixture has thickened. Stir twice in between.
6) Drain the cauliflower and peas.
7) Pour the creamy sauce over the drained vegetables.

SERVING
8) Serve the Cauliflower And Peas In Cream Sauce, garnished with freshly chopped parsley leaves.
