|Onion||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), minced|
|All purpose flour||3 Tablespoon|
|Dry mustard||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Milk||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Processed american cheese||5 Ounce, shredded (1 1/4 cups)|
|Dry white wine/Other dry white wine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Green onion tops||2 Tablespoon, sliced|
|White pepper||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
1)In a heavy saucepan saute 1/4 cup onion in butter till it turns tender.
2)Add flour and mustard in the saucepan and stir it till smooth for a minute.
3)Slowly add milk to the mixture and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is thick and bubbly.
4)Further add cheese to the mixture and stir until cheese melts.
5)Also stir chablis or dry white wine, green onion, salt and white pepper into it.
6)Sauce can be served with grill fish.
