Vegetables with Buttermilk Sauce

Ingredients
  Carrots 1 Pound, scraped and cut into 1/4 inch slices
  Frozen english peas 16 Ounce (1 Package)
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sugar 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Thinly sliced green onions with tops 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Buttermilk sauce 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

MAKING
1. In a saucepan, combine first 5 ingredients, boil and simmer for 10 minutes
2. Now add onions and cook for about 1 minute, then drain the vegetables
3. Transfer vegetables to a serving dish

SERVING
4. Serve with Buttermilk Sauce
