Everyday Basic White Sauce

Ingredients
  Margarine 2 Tablespoon
  Flour 2 Tablespoon
  Nonfat dry milk 4 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper To Taste
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

MAKING
1) In a saucepan, add margarine.
2) Melt the margarine over low heat and stir in the flour to prepare a roux.
3) Stir in nonfat dry milk and water.
4) Cook over low heat by frequent stirring, until the sauce turns thick and smooth.
5) Season the sauce according to taste.

SERVING
6) Use the white sauce to cook vegetables or poultry.
