Vegetables with Holiday Sauce
|Carrots||1 Pound, cut in 1 1/2 - 2-inch pieces|
|Frozen brussels sprouts||20 Ounce (2 Packages, 10 Ounce Each)|
|Chopped onion||2 Tablespoon|
|Condensed consomm||10 1⁄2 Ounce (1 can)|
|Apple juice||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||2 Teaspoon|
|Brown sugar||1 Tablespoon|
|Ground clove||1 Teaspoon (For Garnish)|
1) Take a skillet and cook carrots and Brussels sprouts in it.
2) In another saucepan, melt butter and cook onion until tender.
3) Add consommÃ©, apple juice, lemon juice, cornstarch and brown sugar. Stir and cook the mixture until it is adequately thickened.
4) Combine the sauce with hot cooked vegetables and serve.
