Low Fat Chunky Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
  Canned diced tomatoes 29 Ounce, or crushed (2 Cans, 14 1/2 Ounce Each)
  Finely chopped onion 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Garlic clove 1 Large, minced
  Dried thyme 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Bay leaf 1
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
Directions

MAKING
1. In a saucepan, combine tomatoes, onion, garlic, thyme and bay leaf.
2. Simmer for about 15 minutes or until sauce is slightly thickened.
3. Remove and discard the bay leaf and season with salt and pepper.

SERVING
4. Serve this creamy, rich sauce as an excellent dip for fried food and even a rich sauce for pasta.
