Basic White Sauce
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Milk||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
In 4-cup measure, microwave butter at High for 45 to 55 seconds or until melted.
Stir in flour to form smooth paste.
Gradually whisk in milk.
Microwave at High for 5 to 7 minutes or until boiling and thickened, whisking after 2 minutes then every minute.
Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg to taste.
