Halakahiki Awapuhi Sauce

Ingredients
  Canned crushed pineapple 8 1⁄2 Ounce (1 Can)
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Light corn syrup 1 Tablespoon
  Pineapple juice 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Ginger juice/1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Angostura bitters 2 Dash
  Macadamia nuts 1 Cup (16 tbs), coarsely chopped
Directions

MAKING
1. In a saucepan combine pineapple, sugar, corn syrup, pineapple juice, ginger and bitters and bring to boiling.
2. Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. Let it cool and stir in macadamia nuts.

SERVING
4. Use as a topping with waffles.
