Hot Fudge Sauce

Ingredients
  Evaporated milk 13 Ounce, not diluted
  Sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Unsweetened chocolate 4 Ounce
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

Bring milk and sugar to a rolling boil over medium-low heat, stirring constantly.
Boil and stir 1 minute longer.
Add chocolate; stir until melted.
Beat over heat until smooth.
If sauce has a curdled appearance, beat vigorously with a wire whisk or rotary beater until creamy smooth.
Remove from heat.
Blend in butter or margarine, vanilla and salt.
Cool to lukewarm.
Serve over ice cream.
