Golden Fruit Sauce
|Canned fruit cocktail||1 Pound|
|Lemon juice||2 Tablespoon|
|Grated lemon rind||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
1) Into a cup, drain the syrup from fruit cocktail and set the fruit aside.
2) In a small saucepan, blend the cornstarch into some drops of the syrup and mix till smooth. Stir in the lemon juice and the remaining syrup.
3) Cook, constantly stirring, over moderate heat, till the sauce has thickened and has boiled for about 3 minutes. Add the fruit and lemon rind and stir well.
4) Serve warm.
