|Custard||1 , stirred|
|Wine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Malaga Or Marsala)|
|Sultana raisins||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Dried currants||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Minced candied red cherries||2 Tablespoon, candied|
|Candied orange peel||2 Tablespoon, minced|
|Candied citron||2 Tablespoon, minced|
|Shelled and peeled chestnuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), boiled and drained|
|Heavy cream||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Prepare and cool custard as directed.
Meanwhile, pour wine over fruits and let stand 1 hour; also puree chestnuts.
Mix fruits and chestnuts into custard.
Whip cream to soft peaks and fold in.
Cover and chill 1/2 hour before serving.
