Dessert Plum Sauce
|Red plums||2 Large|
|Lemon juice||1⁄2 Teaspoon (If Available)|
In a small dry saucepan mix sugar, cornstarch, and salt until cornstarch disappears using a small whisk.
Slice plums into saucepan.
Stir gently over medium heat until boiling; reduce heat; simmer until sauce is thickened and clear, about 4 minutes.
Stir in lemon juice and almond flavoring, if using.
Set aside to cool completely.
Serve over vanilla ice cream.
