Piquant Tomato Sauce
|Oil||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Dry white wine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Cooked ham||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), cut into strips|
|Garlic salt||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Grated horseradish root||2 Teaspoon|
|White pepper||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Peel and chop or grate the onions.
Mix with the oil and wine and stir thoroughly.
Peel and chop the tomatoes.
Stir the tomatoes and ham into the sauce, together with the salt, sugar, horseradish and pepper.
Serve this sauce with broiled fish, pork or lamb or with meat fondues.
