|Minced shallots/1 tablespoon minced onion||2 Tablespoon|
|Dry red wine||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Brown sauce/Canned beef gravy||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||2 Tablespoon|
|Minced parsley||3 Tablespoon|
|Sliced mushrooms||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), sauteed|
Melt butter and saute shallots in it until soft and transparent.
Add wine and simmer until reduced to half its volume.
Stir in Brown Sauce, lemon juice, parsley, salt and cayenne to taste, and mushrooms.
Heat through before serving.
Makes about 2 cups sauce.
