Sauce De Tomates
|Olive oil||2 Tablespoon|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), crushed|
|Onion||1 , chopped|
|Streaky bacon rashers||2 , derinded and chopped|
|Tomatoes||1 1⁄2 Pound, chopped (750 Gram)|
|Chopped basil||2 Teaspoon|
Heat the oil in a pan, add the garlic and onion and fry for 10 minutes until soft, but not coloured.
Add the bacon, tomatoes, and salt and pepper to taste.
Cover and cook for 30 to 35 minutes.
Puree in an electric blender, then strain, or rub through a sieve.
Check the seasoning and add the basil.
