Butter Sauce

Makhani means butter in Hindi. This is a butter and tomato based sauce which is popularly used for preparing 'Butter Chicken' and 'Paneer (Indian Cottage Cheese) Makhani'.
Ingredients
  Heavy whipping cream 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Diced tomatoes 21 Ounce
  Butter 2 Tablespoon (Salted / Unsalted)
  Honey 2 Tablespoon
  Cardamom 2 , crushed
  Cloves 4
  Black pepper kernels 4
  Garam masala 2 Teaspoon
  Coriander powder 2 Teaspoon
  Red chili powder 2 Teaspoon
  Kasoori methi/Dried fenugreek leaves 2 Teaspoon
  Salt 2 Teaspoon
  Ginger powder 1 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 2 Teaspoon
Directions

Heat butter in a non-stick pan. Start by adding cardamom, cloves and black pepper to this. Now add tomatoes (puree the diced tomatoes with the help of a hand blender). Add garam masala, red chili powder, coriander powder and let the sauce cook for fifteen minutes. Now add the cream, honey, salt and kasoori methi. Cover with the lid and let this cook for another fifteen minutes. Makhani sauce is ready to be used with Chicken or Indian Cottage Cheese.
