Hard Sauce With Rum

Ingredients
  Soft butter/Margarine 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Boiling water 2 Tablespoon
  Sifted powdered sugar 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)
  Vanilla/3 tablespoons cognac / rum 1 Teaspoon
  Walnut halves 4 (English Variety)
Directions

1. Blend boiling water with butter; gradually add powdered sugar, beating hard. Flavor to taste.
2. Drop by spoonfuls on waxed paper, top each mound with a walnut half, and chill. If preferred, mixture may be heaped in serving bowl, sprinkled with chopped nuts, and chilled.
