Fruit Sauce For Cake Or Pudding
|Unsweetened fruit juice||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sugar||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||1 Tablespoon|
|Pureed fruit||1 Cup (16 tbs) (fresh or stewed)|
1. Combine the fruit juice, sugar, cornstarch and salt in an enamel or glass saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
2. Remove from the heat and stir in the butter or margarine and the lemon juice; let it cool.
3. Fold in the fruit and the sherry.
