Tomato and Green Pepper Sauce
|Tomatoes||4 Medium, peeled and chopped|
|Green pepper||1 Medium, cut into thin strips|
|Onion||1 Small, chopped|
|Basil leaves||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Oregano leaves||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Thyme leaves||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Marjoram leaves||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Garlic powder||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
|Black pepper||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
In 1 1/2-qt casserole combine all ingredients except water and cornstarch.
In small bowl blend cornstarch into water.
Add to vegetable mixture.
Microwave at High 5 minutes.
Microwave at High 4 to 10 minutes, or until pepper is tender and sauce is slightly thickened, stirring once or twice.
Serve with fish, meat or poultry.
