Lemon Barbecue Sauce
|Lemon juice||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Vegetable oil||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Garlic clove||1 Large|
|Celery seed||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Thyme leaf||1⁄2 Teaspoon, crumbled|
Combine the lemon juice and oil in a small bowl.
Mash the garlic in the salt in a cup and add to the lemon juice mixture along with the celery seed and thyme, blending well.
Let the sauce stand at room temperature overnight.
Brush or pour over chicken or Cornish hens.
