Wheat Waffles with Apple Sauce

Ingredients
  Oil 1 Teaspoon
  Apples 4 Large, diced
  Cinnamon powder 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Apple juice 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
For waffles
  Whole-wheat flour 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Atta)
  Plain flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs) (Maida)
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Baking powder/1 teaspoon sodium bicarbonate 2 Teaspoon
  Honey 1 Tablespoon
  Buttermilk 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs) (Chhaas)
  Egg whites 5
Directions

Heat oil in a large pan over moderate heat.
Add apples and saute for about 10 minutes till honey-coloured.
Add cinnamon and apple juice and cook for about 3 minutes till thick.
Cover and keep warm.
Sift dry ingredients for waffles into a large bowl.
Add honey and buttermilk and mix well.
Beat egg whites till stiff but not dry and fold into batter.
Pour into a waffle iron and cook according to the manufacturer's instruction till golden brown.
Serve hot waffles with warm apple sauce.
